Build Quality

Properly Insulated

CampEasy campers are the only ones that come with Wool Insulation, and then a carpet layer on almost all metal parts inside the cabin. This is drastically different from using a camper without insulation, as leaning up against cold metals is not the most comfortable experience.

Powerful Heating System

We have taken multiple steps to ensure good heating. We include a third battery in the camper, insulate using wool, snowstorm adjust for heater intake, and take other steps to ensure warmth even during the coldest months.

Well Equipped from the Dealer

When choosing the vehicle for a custom-built camper, many things are taken into consideration. We pack our ordering list with insulation, comfort, and safety accessories. We also exclusively purchase Volkswagen now, the legend in campervans.

Reaching The Highlands

With the raised chassis and larger wheels, this camper is suited to traverse the highland roads of Iceland. A unique environment only accessible a few months a year.

Driving in Snow

Traction Control, ABS, Post Collision Braking, and Excellent Winter Tyres make it handle quite well in the rough. A 4×4 system with all four wheels active only when needed, producing a surprisingly economical four-wheel-drive vehicle.

“[…]The absolute BEST part was the quality of the van! This thing handled so well in wind, rain, on snow covered, and dirt roads. It really made the driving easy. The heater was a beast and kept us warm all night with no issues. There were plenty of places to charge devices. There were no hidden fees or funny business when I returned the vehicle. A super nice Australian woman checked us out when we returned the vehicle (I can’t find her name anywhere). Overall a GREAT experience with CampEasy. I would definitely rent from them again. “

Most importantly, keeping us in the loop via their tablet during our trip in the winter proved valuable when they advised us to steer away from certain areas during the storms. Do it! You won’t regret it!

We rented a 4×4 campervan in early January for about a week and had an absolute blast around the ring road. Can’t believe how smooth the whole experience with CampEasy was and especially how Yoann and Holly felt like our extended family while we were on the road. They were always exceptionally responsive over the built in messaging system and even actively alerted us on upcoming worry some weather. Would and likely will absolutely do the winter trip around iceland again with CampEasy. Great new cars, exceptional software on the tablet (including info on attractions, campgrounds etc) and a great team that had our back 🙂

My friend and I deliberated long and hard about getting a camper van to tour around Iceland and I am so glad that we did! Campeasy were brilliant! The check-in process was extremely easy. Holly was amazing and really funny, she made sure to explain everything that we might need during the trip and services on the tablet that comes with the camper. I would definitely recommend purchasing the full cover insurance; we actually got a chip in the windscreen which was completely covered by our insurance (phew!). The camper itself was comfy, clean and reliable. We went with the 4×4 automatic camper, which gave us peace of mind, especially in the icy road conditions. We stayed warm all night with the heating system and extra blankets. Honestly couldn’t fault them at all, what a great company! Would definitely use them again if we go back to Iceland!

We rented our camper for 4 nights last week and could not recommend campeasy enough. The camper was the perfect size for 2. The GPS and WiFi access was a great extra. The heating was excellent – some nights we were nearly too warm, which we didn’t expect. They sorted us with transfers to and from the city on arrival and departure. When we brought back the camper, Holly dealt with us. She was friendly and extremely helpful, and gave us lots of recommendations for our last night in the city.

Very clear website and options when booking beforehand, excellent pickup and drop-off, and clear instructions from Campeasy’s very helpful Holly on arrival at Campeasy HQ. The 4WD van we hired functioned superbly, and all the cooking and heating equipment for a comfortable stay in the van worked smoothly. IT support and the phone helpline en route was excellent via the Android tablet that Campeasy provides automatically as part of the rental. Wonderful stay in Iceland, and we’d go Campeasy again if we can make another trip to this beautiful and welcoming country!

Friendly and helpful staff, good service and a very nice camper! We rented a camper at CampEasy for ten days. Upon arrival on Iceland we were picked up from the airport. The staff took the time to explain everything to us and gave useful tips. The camper itself was also very nice. The heating worked all night, very convenient with the cold winter nights. My wife and I have completed 8 days campervan trip in the beginning of 2020. I’ve done a lot of research about campervan companies, the insurance policies provided and finally chose Campeasy!! They’re great in all aspects.. good vehicles, well insulated cabin, water with running sink, gas stove… basically everything you need to live in a campervan in a reasonable price. Their tab and wifi also worked more than expected.. overall a pretty good and out of the world experience. Thanks to campeasy team as well. Highly recommended..
