Pack light, pack smart, and make sure your van is a place that feels as comforting as it does adventurous! It’s best to use a soft shell suitcase to be able to ensure it does not take up too much room in the van.

Waterproof Layers & Outdoor Gear for Exploring Iceland’s Nature

Iceland’s weather is notorious for being unpredictable, with rapidly changing conditions. One moment it could be sunny, and the next, you might be caught in a downpour or face fierce winds. To stay comfortable and dry, packing the right waterproof gear is a must.

What comes in the van?

Your adventure home comes ready to hit the road! These are the things that it includes and you don’t have to worry about packing. You can also hire some extra useful items at the campervan rental base, plus store suitcases if you wish!

  • Bedding This includes duvet, pillows, sheets and covers
  • Extra blankets To make the van extra cosy! The van also has heaters so you’ll have no trouble staying warm at night!
  • Kitchen utensils The van is fully equipped with kitchen utensils to ensure you can be the best van chefs Iceland has seen! Check out our cooking blog to get some inspiration!
  • USB ports Usually these are standard USB, but sometimes include USBC too. You can also rent an inverter when you pick up your van, which will mean you can plug in a mains plug – but bring an EU travel adapter!
  • Towels – additional extra If you don’t want to bring these with you, you can hire these at our van rental base
  • WIFI – additional extra You can add a wifi package on arrival at the campervan rental base.
