Kayaking in Kirkjufell with Vestur Adventures

Searching for a guided kayaking experience in Iceland? You have come to the right place! Now, with the help of CampEasy, you can book a kayak tour in the extraordinary surroundings of Kirkjufell Mountain. Just drive your Campeasy camper to the site and partake in a breathtaking activity.

The Classic Adventure is a two-hour guided Kirkjufell kayaking tour that gives you a chance to paddle along the amazing Icelandic coastline and see this incredible mountain from all angles. Along the way, there are stops at various scenic locations where you can take photos, meet some curious seals, float in the sea or just enjoy the beautiful view. Moreover, this Icelandic kayak experience is made possible by Vestur Adventures – a family-run business.

But even so, if guided tours are not your thing, you can rent a Kayak from Campeasy and set out on your own. However, you do not have to be an experienced kayaker to take part in this trip (the age limit is 6 years). For this reason, Vestur Adventures is ready to teach you all the simple kayaking techniques. Their kayaks are “sit-on-top” kayaks and are a lot more stable and easier to sail compared to traditional kayaks. With this in mind, you will be provided with an undersuit, drysuit, shoes, and gloves. You wear your own clothes underneath. We guarantee your friends will be jealous of your photos!

Kirkjufell – A Unique Site for a Kayaking Tour

Enrich your Iceland journey with a kayaking tour in glorious Kirkjufell waters with the help of them! Kirkjufell (Church Mountain) is a mountain on the Snæfellsnes peninsula, near the town of Grundarfjörður (we can guarantee – one of the most beautiful places for kayaking in Iceland). While rising 463 m high, its coastal location and unusual formation make it one of the most photographed mountains in Europe. No wonder it was one of the filming locations for seasons 6 and 7 of the TV series Game of Thrones. Even more, you can walk around the mountain, which is disconnected from the main mountain range, and the trek takes about three hours. However, not experienced climbers, unfortunately, are discouraged from trying to scale it. Although the mountain is accessible to climbers, it’s quite difficult to traverse. Instead, everyone can bask in its beauty while kayaking near its base.

Never been kayaking? Do not worry, guides will teach you everything you need.
