Husky Dog Sledding in Northeast

If you happen to be a dog lover, Dog Sledding on Snow with Siberian Huskies is something you have to try on your way around Iceland. Don’t hesitate to visit these adorable puppies and their local Icelandic family on the farm between Akureyri and the Mývatn Lake in Northeast Iceland. It is a remarkable adventure worth experiencing.

The trail takes approximately 45-70 minutes with picture stops, and then you go into the kennel to spend some time with the dogs and, of course, cuddle them. So total time is approximately 2-2.5 hours with the kennel visit. In addition, there is a possibility to take pictures of the dogs! Dog sledding tour in Iceland is a unique opportunity to see how sled dogs work in winter conditions.

Dog Sledding on Snow

Usually, two guests and a Musher from Snow Dogs share a wooden sled with 8-10 Siberian Huskies pulling you on a 6 – 10 km scenic trail. Before the trip, the musher will explain the basics of dog sledding and how to work with these fantastic dogs. Moreover, you will also have the opportunity to help mush the sled with one of our guides if you want to try it!

We are a group of 25 Siberian Husky sled dogs that love to play. Come and visit us at our farm.
